Now that we are taking a break from the 103/104 classes, our Beneteau 393 has some free time on her hands. If you would like to experience sailing a “BIG BOAT” then this is your chance! We’ll do two sessions each day, so more folks will get a chance to have a “Splendid Adventure!”
INTRODUCTION to NAVIGATION CLINIC!Saturday, Jan. 7th, 1-4pm:
Come and join us for an introduction into the world of “dead reckoning.” We'll provide the presentation, charts and tools to help you plot a course, get your bearings, and take a fix.

Club News:
- WINTER WATER LEVELS: We are starting to experience different water levels due to more northerly winds. That means that water can be much shallower than usual. It is important to be aware of shallow areas on the bay and give them wide clearance. Be sure to go over a chart with us before you head out if you have any questions. These lower levels are also affecting the marina since the shallow areas have shifted near the drainage area by our floating marker. There are times when it may be too shallow for the 25 or Hound Dog to make it. We will advise you of that as we get further into the winter.
- YEARLY STEM to STERNS: We are hard at work doing our yearly maintenance and upkeep on all the boats. Motors have been serviced. Every nut, screw, pin, and bolt is being checked. We will also be cleaning topside and below and getting all the boats looking their best! We ask your help in keeping them looking good. Make sure all crew wears non-marking shoes and check below for any dirt or messiness when you put the boats away. Thanks and we’ll all be shiny in 2023!
- BASIC COASTAL & BAREBOAT CRUISING Classes – Our spring classes are almost sold out, so for those interested, we suggest signing up for classes soon to reserve a spot. As Club members you get $150 off the class rate! Schedules are in the office or on the website.
Holiday Schedule & Winter Hours:
Just a reminder that in addition to Mondays, the office will be CLOSED on the following dates:
CHRISTMAS – Saturday through Monday, December 24, 25 & 26
NEW YEAR’S – Saturday & Sunday, December 31st & January 1st
Also, we are on our WINTER HOURS, Tuesday – Friday 10am - 4pm, Saturday & Sunday 9am-5pm. The weekend sessions will remain the same. Mid-week sessions can be anytime between 10 and 4.
